Customers and the community we share are at the heart of who we are!
Community banking is based on a ‘profit-with-purpose’ model, which means our profits are returned directly to the community that has generated them.
You may not think who you bank with matters. But it does. For our customers, their banking is making a real difference.
Every day our customers help change lives, and save lives, simply by banking with us. Their home loans are building local sports parks, hospital wings and classrooms. Personal loans, business banking and credit cards are funding rescue boats, disabled and aged care facilities.
Your everyday banking is providing all this and more. In fact, over $320 million has been returned to communities and initiatives Australia-wide by Bendigo Bank’s Community Bank Network.
You need a bank to give you the products and services you need. We need your banking to help us make a difference.
Whilst the name Bendigo Community Bank Canberra and Regions may be new to the region, we have actually been your friendly local bank since 1959 under the name SERVICE ONE. We have grown from humble beginnings as a small local credit union in 1959, to now eight Bendigo Bank branches.
You’ll be pleased to know that our same passion for community growth has never faded in the over 60 years of serving you, and at our core, we remain deeply invested in our “Local money for Local people” ethos. Our eight branches are our five Capital Region branches in Belconnen, Calwell, Curtin, Deakin, and Tuggeranong, and our three Regional NSW branches in Batemans Bay, Cooma, and Newcastle.
We are eager to grow our support of you, our community, year-on-year, and our team of passionate and expert locals cannot wait to welcome you into one of our branches very soon!
