Happy NAIDOC, Canber

Happy NAIDOC, Canberra! Hands Across Canberra is proud to stand with traditional owners and First Nations people from across Australia who live and work on Ngunnawal country as we mark 50 Years of Deadly.

We pay tribute to the elders who stood firm, the people who made space, the artists who created stories, the communities who stayed strong and all those who built a movement for justice, peace and recognition.

We are proud to partner with organisations including Yeddung Mura, Yerrabi Yurwang and many others to build a better and fairer community for First Nations Canberrans.
Together, we can continue building a more connected, inclusive and compassionate Canberra.

Happy NAIDOC Week.

No one should have to go through cancer treatment feeling alone.

Through the GreaterGood x Hands Across Canberra Connected Communities Grant Round, Rise Above – Capital Region Cancer Relief received support for its project.

This grant will help create more opportunities for cancer patients, families, and carers to feel connected, supported, and less alone while navigating treatment.

Because community care is more than practical help.
It is knowing someone is beside you during one of life’s hardest seasons.
