Impact Report 2021-22

In 2021-22 Hands Across Canberra was strengthened by our incredible community who chose to give where we live to make a significant impact in the lives of Canberrans. Through continued efforts of awareness raising, partnering, and giving we have strived to support the needs of the community over the past year trying to reduce the burden faced by many.

Hands Across Canberra 2020 Impact Report

Throughout 2019–20 we surveyed over 250 affiliated charities to identify emerging need and to assess our capacity to respond. From this, we learned that events in 2019–20 had impacted 98% of charities in the ACT – and that most had been significantly impacted. And we learned that we need to be strategic with our timing and incentives if we are to meet the demand from the sector.

Hands Across Canberra achieved several milestones in the 2018–2019 period, launching major new efforts to expand the notion of philanthropy in the ACT and advance issues affecting our most vulnerable community members.
