The Early Morning Centre is a community hub supporting people in Canberra who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness, and those experiencing social isolation.

The Early Morning Centre (EMC) is a community hub supporting people who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness, and those experiencing social isolation. We provide a safe, respectful and welcoming space for some of our city’s most vulnerable people.

With the help of dedicated volunteers, we offer a free, hot nutritious breakfast five days a week. Our guests can also access essential facilities such as showers, lockers and computers. We also facilitate healthcare services, community activities, and connect our guests with local support services.

Focusing on the individual needs of our guests, we provide a much-needed service that is more than just a meal. Our guests are provided with a place where they feel safe and respected, where they have a voice and can be heard, where they are part of a community that supports them.
