Annual Hands Across Canberra Charity Dinner 2025
Hands Across Canberra’s recent fundraising evening at Gandel Hall, National Gallery of Australia, was a powerful celebration of community, generosity, and shared purpose.
Held on Wednesday 29 October, the event brought together supporters, partners, and leaders from across Canberra for an inspiring night dedicated to making a meaningful impact for local charities. We were deeply honoured to welcome Her Excellency the Governor-General, whose presence underscored the importance of collective giving and community connection.
A highlight of the evening was the keynote address from Nic Marchesi OAM, Co-Founder of Orange Sky. Nic’s story of innovation, compassion, and practical action resonated strongly with guests, reminding us all of the difference that bold ideas and committed individuals can make in addressing homelessness.
Guests enjoyed an evening of connection, conversation, and generosity, united by a shared commitment to supporting Canberra’s most vulnerable communities. The atmosphere was one of warmth and purpose, reflecting the spirit that drives Hands Across Canberra’s work.
We extend our sincere thanks to our proud sponsors, The Village Building Co. and Parker Coles Curtis, whose support made this event possible.
Most importantly, we thank everyone who attended and contributed. Your support helps strengthen the network of local charities doing vital work across our region.
