Legacy is an iconic Australian charity dedicated to supporting the families of veterans who have lost their lives or their health as a result of their service to our nation. For more than 100 years, Legacy has stood beside these families, ensuring they are never left to face life’s challenges alone.

Our mission is to provide care, respect, and practical assistance to help families build stable, connected, and supported lives. We deliver a wide range of services tailored to individual needs, including:

Support & Wellbeing

• Ongoing personal contact and compassionate care
• Emotional and peer support
• Social connection through events, gatherings, and community activities
• Welfare services that respond to changing life stages and circumstances

Financial & Practical Assistance

• Financial aid for families experiencing hardship
• Advocacy and guidance to help navigate entitlements
• Education and development programs for children
• Support for ageing widows and dependants with disabilities
• Respite accommodation on the NSW South Coast at no cost to beneficiaries
• Health and safety provisions to help maintain independence and wellbeing

Legacy also brings moments of joy and connection by providing Christmas presents, birthday flowers, concerts, lunches, outings, and morning teas, helping reduce isolation and strengthen community.
