Australian Taxation Office (ATO) – Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status
DGRs are funds or organisations that are entitled to receive tax deductible gifts. This means that donors can claim income tax deductions for gifts to DGRs in their income tax returns. To apply for DGR status see the Australian Tax Office website.

Canberra Region Foundations
The Snow Foundation
The Snow Foundation is the creation of brothers Terry Snow and George Snow who established the foundation in 1991 to benefit the disadvantaged community in Canberra and beyond to enable individuals and organisations to introduce positive change.
Beyond Bank Australia
The Beyond Bank Australia Foundation Ltd. raises and distributes charitable funds within the community, and was launched in August 2007. The trust manages two funds: The Community Gift Fund and the Community Support Fund.
John James Foundation
The John James Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation. The Foundation is an independent broad based healthcare charity providing a range of programs and assistance to the people of Canberra and beyond.
Asia-Pacific Centre for Social Investment and Philanthropy
The Asia‐Pacific Centre for Social Investment and Philanthropy (ACSIP) is committed to promoting and advancing social investment and philanthropy in Australia and throughout the Asia‐Pacific Region. ACSIP, at the Swinburne Centre for Social Impact, is itself part of the wider cross‐university collaboration known as the Centre for Social Impact (CSI), in the Swinburne Business School.
Australian Journal on Volunteering
The Australian Journal on Volunteering is the only Australian refereed journal that publishes articles exclusively on volunteering.
Queensland University of Technology’s Centre of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies
The Centre publishes working papers and makes these available to the philanthropic and nonprofit communities and other interested parties at a small cost.
Community Foundations Gateway
A joint project of Philanthropy Australia, the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal and Community Foundations of Australasia Inc, the Community Foundation Gateway is a comprehensive source of information for those involved in, researching, or interested in becoming involved in community foundations in Australia.
