Capability Building Workshops for community organisations
Published on 19 October 2015
Hands Across Canberra and ACTCOSS are working together on ways to build the capacity of our local community sector. We’d love you to join us at a small group, facilitated session to discuss ways we can work together to increase the capacity of your organisation and the sector as a whole.
Come along for a couple of hours to kick-start conversations and connections that might just make the difference we all need right now.
We know that at times it’s tough to keep doing what you do to help the people that need your services – we all need more money, more resources and better connections with the corporate world. But we also know it’s the inspiring stories of change that you experience first-hand that keeps you coming back to do everything you can to help others who need a hand. Your services are important to people who are vulnerable in some way and to strengthening our community as a whole. We want to help you do it as effectively as you can. In this session you will gain:
In addition, you will have an opportunity to secure free tickets to the HAC Annual Lunch (subject to corporate sponsorship commitments) being held on 2 December and learn how to make the most of this event. Our unique model provides a way for businesses and local community organisations to connect – we will share insights on how to share your stories and communicate what additional resources you need to make a bigger difference. Workshop details Date: Friday 30th October Time: 12:00 – 2:00pm (lunch provided) Venue: Weston Community Hub Meeting Room, 1/6 Gritten Street Weston Cost: FREE Spaces are limited.
